From Anonymous;

"A. Structural adjustment is the change of policies in order to procure loans/money for debt-ridden or money-needing countries.

"B. The International Monetary Fund will oppose structural adjustment in China because despite its many citizens living in poverty, the CPC is taking steps to address this problem. Furthermore, the Chinese economy is bolstering.

"C. The International Bank may also support structural adjustment in Iran due to its imbalance of macroeconomic demand. Its heavy reliance on oil exports leaves the country's economy very imbalanced and unstable."

While structural adjustment might make it easier for countries with economic problems to get loans, that is not what structural adjustment is. S.A. is the change in policies. What policies? What changes?

The IMF will not oppose S.A. in China. It would be in favor, but it's position is not relevant since China is not looking for help from the IMF. And it's NOT in China.

The International Bank (which one? the IMF?) might support S.A., but it would do so in order to open the Iranian economy to more market influences. However, the IMF or "The International Bank" are NOT in Iran.

This response earned none of the 5 points possible.
